Cuenta Conmigo, Aprendiendo Juntas
- Designed for family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) childcare providers, community leaders, home visitors, and families, this 4-part training series covers the foundations of lactation and child nutrition, infant mental health, community emergency preparedness, and safe infant and young child feeding during emergencies — with each 2-hour module building practical skills and offering continuing education hours.
Maternal Child Health Leaders for Equity
- MCHLE (Maternal Child Health Leaders for Equity) is a 12-month learning cohort, now in its second year, that trains 15 community leaders in Jefferson County to reduce health inequities and strengthen the resilience of Latino families. Participants — organized into workgroups for doulas, lactation counselors, community health workers, and nutrition — combine training, direct paid service, and hands-on project work, moving through four phases: listening to the community, designing a project, implementing it, and reviewing results. By March 2027, the goal is for each participant to have identified a career pathway in maternal-child health, completed 18 hours of project-focused training, delivered 1,000 hours of direct community service, run a full project cycle, and helped shape a set of practice and policy recommendations.
